The doctorate has many forms. It enfolds many genres of research. One of the innovative and fascinating modes of doctorate is the PPP – the PhD by Prior Publication. This mode of doctorate is created when a researcher gathers and clusters refereed publications on a topic through their career, produced before they enrol at Flinders. Then they write a ‘contextual statement’ that aligns these publications and explains how they form an original contribution to knowledge.
Are you interested in the PPP as a student or supervisor? Well, we have a session for you.
This Friday – September 10, 2021 – I will be hosting an online chat on the PPP. Join us via Zoom for a cup of coffee and a conversation. It begins at 7:30am Adelaide time, to ensure our friends in different time zones can participate.
